Youth in Action
A Mission with a Vision

“Give me back the forest, take away the town” Rabindranath Tagore
With this vision in mind, Gulshan Youth Club has embarked on its journey undauntedly since 1977, aiming to bring children out from the confinement of the walls onto the open field.
The existing situation is a threat to the young generation. Their aversion towards any kind of physical activity is increasing at an alarming rate. Instead, a fascination for mobile phones, computers, iphones, televisions, and other electronics is turning them into mechanized individuals. As a result, human values are disappearing under the hard shield of machines.

To distract the youth from machines, Gulshan Youth Club has taken an impressive role by arranging training programmes including football, cricket, basketball, Karate, and music. Through these activities, the Club is trying to motivate the youth to come to the field, pass their time in pure enjoyment by playing games, and engaging themselves in different innovative activities. The Club has also included the parents in their plan, by making a walking track for the adults. Thus, the whole family gets an opportunity to keep their bodies fit, grow a love for nature, and practice important social skills.
The Club also celebrates all the traditional and National holidays by encouraging Club members and their children to organize and participate in various programmes like marathon races, rallies and sports-art competitions and cultural programmes.
This is a place of social gathering where a healthy friendly atmosphere exists. Most recently, the Club observed Independence Day on the early morning of 26th March. In addition to a cultural show and art competition, Everest Conqueror, Musa Ibrahim, inaugurated a new swimming pool at the Club premises.
Gulshan Youth Club acts as a touchstone to grow patriotic feelings among the youth. Furthermore, it encourages the responsibilities of a perfect citizen and helps one to grow as a strong, determined, confident social human being. Gulshan Youth Club is truly making a difference in replacing electronic screens with open fields and should be appreciated for making a difference in our society.
