15 Years of DU Linguistics
The department of Linguistics, University of Dhaka has celebrated 15 years of its inception through a daylong programme on 2 June 2008 at the Teacher Student Centre (TSC) Auditorium. The programme started early in the morning with a colorful rally, participated by teachers, students and alumni of the department.
The Mandolin It has a body with a teardrop-shaped soundboard. In the first half of the 20th century, mandolins enjoyed a period of great popularity in Europe and the Americas as an easier approach to playing string music. Many professional and amateur mandolin groups and orchestras were formed to play light classical string repertory.
Reliving History in the Summer Palace of Beijing
It was a beautiful mild summer Beijing morning on May 21, and having just returned after a brisk one hour long morning walk I woke up my friend Mukul and asked him to get ready for the 'eat you must' breakfast. Mukul finishes his morning walk in his room.
