A majestic win for the IPL heroes “Rajasthan Royals”

Sabit Farizma

IT all started almost a month back the great inauguration of the Indian Premiere League. Since then the teams have played against each other according to the fixtures and climbed up the rankings. However one team was the ultimate winner and it was the heroic “Rajasthan Royals” who took away the trophy.

Before the match rolled on the grounds it was considered that the Rajasthan royals were one of the weakest teams in IPL. The possible assumption was completely blown away as their team was remarkable and players were superb in almost all the games.

Their victory lied in the hands of an exceptional player called Shane Warne. He is one of the superb bowlers in this world and his tactics were ever so crucial for Rajasthan royals. He had coached and been a captain simultaneously throughout the tournament and as a result the ultimate victory was achieved.

One of the most wonderful matches was the glorious final between Chennai Super Kings and the Royals. I remember being glued to the television for almost four hours unable to miss any bit of action of the match. Obviously all the excitement was for my favorite team that almost lost it in the middle but however they pulled back their momentum toward the end. It was a remarkable performance from Yousuf Pathan in both batting and bowling. Shane Watson was another wonderful player who got the man of the series award for his great matches as well. The last overs were the most crucial ones and the breathtaking, nail biting ending came when Sohail Tanvir had to make one run off one ball…phew!...now that was some game! The captain was on the ground in the last over and finally the winning stroke made the atmosphere so cheerful. All the Rajasthan players were on the ground rejoicing their hard win and they had every reason to enjoy it to the most.

So many thanks to Indian Premiere league for making such a wonderful event to watch, especially for people like me who is mad about cricket.
