Archana Rani Biswas:
Teaching with Flying Colours

As a sincere teacher, Archana Rani Biswas stands out among others in her institution. Through her tireless efforts in imparting knowledge to students, she has reached a position of admiration and respect. People in Jhenidah know and revere her as an accomplished headmistress.

Archana Rani Biswas was born on 19 August, 1971 at the village Shinghi under Kaliganj upazila. She completed her primary education from Shinghi Primary School in 1981. Later on, she passed the SSC examinations in 1987 from Raigram Secondary School and then went on to complete her HSC, B.A. and M.A. degrees from M.M. College in Jessore.

In 1990, she was appointed as an Assistant Teacher at Kaluhati Government Primary School. Later she was transferred to Balidanga Government Primary School where she achieved a good name for responsible teaching. She has been serving at Shib Nagar Government Primary Model School under Kaliganj Upazila in Jhenidah since 2007. Sunil Kumar Biswas, an Assistant Teacher of the school said, “Archana is very sincere and liberal to the students as well as the teachers. She is also a good administrator.”

Her daughter, Dipannita Tithi, stood 2nd all over the country in class five terminal examinations from Shib Nagar Government Model Primary School in 2009. She was selected as the best headmistress in 2000 and 2009. In July 2010, she was sent to Malaysia by the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education to participate in a 10-day long training programme on “Build Capacity of Head Quarter and Best Performing Field Level Officers and Teachers”.

Mrs. Rahima Sharif, a guardian of Mashrafi Rahman of class four, said, “Archana Apa, as a headmistress, no doubt, surpasses all. She is very conscious and sincere about her students.”
