Graduation Ceremony of Maple Leaf International School
The graduation ceremony of A level students of the class of 2012 of Maple Leaf International School was held at Dr Nawab Ali Auditorium on September 13. A total of 175 students graduated this year. Around 33 outstanding achievers, who received more than three A grades were honoured with medals along with certificates and crests. All other graduates received certificates and crests from the principal, Zeba Ali. Md Zahidul Islam Zahid who achieved six A grades and Nowshin Noor spoke on behalf of the graduates. The Principal, in her speech, underscored the importance of higher studies abroad and called upon students to come back and serve the country.

Every year many students go abroad for higher studies from this institution. Kh Sadman Rahman, Sanjid Md Halim and Shabab Saad recieved a 100% scholarship to London School of Economics and Political Science (UK), Venderbilt University (USA) and University of Mexico respectively. Ayon Ahmed Hassan and Abdullah Hossain to University of Hong Kong with 99% and 90% respectively; Ayon Dutta to University of Texas Tech with 70 %, Shimul Rahman to University of Victoria with 35% and Anam Arafat Amit to Queen Mary, the UK, with 30%.
The certificate giving ceremony was followed by a cultural programme. It was organised by the student council and attended by parents and teachers.
