Kolej Tuanku Ja'afar Welcomes Bangladeshi Students

It comes as something of a surprise to people based in Bangladesh that there is an international boarding school less than 45 minutes to the south of Kuala Lumpur International airport in Malaysia.

Kolej Tuanku Ja'afar provides the best of a British-style education both to Malaysians and to students from all over the world. Apart from the Malaysian curriculum, KTJ offers O Levels/IGCSEs, followed by a strong A Level programme in the sixth form. The international stream continues to be very attractive both to the large number of Malaysians at KTJ, as well as to the 200 overseas students who travel to Malaysia to attend the School. Around two-third of 85 students in the Upper Sixth go to UK universities, with a significant number going to Imperial, London School of Economics and University College London (UCL). Others are aiming for universities in Australia, United States and further afield.

Making full use of the sports facilities at the 80 acre site is an everyday pleasure for students. Not only do they distinguish themselves on the squash and badminton courts, they also take full advantage of the five full size pitches to play rugby, football, hockey and cricket.
