INTERNATIONAL Inter University Photography Exhibition (IIUPE) - an outstanding effort by North South University Photography Club has brought forth an opportunity for the young photographers to exhibit their creativity. This enables the young photographers of Bangladesh to compare themselves with the increasing number of international participants.

The exhibition was held from August 03 to August 09, 2008 at the National Art Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. Honorable Adviser of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs of the Peoples' Republic of Bangladesh, Mrs. Rasheda K. Chowdhury inaugurated the event on August 03 at 10 am as Chief Guest. NSU Foundation Chairman Mr. M.A. Awal was present as special guest. NSU Vice Chancellor Dr. Hafiz G.A. Siddiqi chaired the event. Dr. Shahidul Alam, Mr. Shahriar Iqbal Raj and Miran Hossain also spoke on the occasion. This is for the 6th time that North South University Photography Club organised the event.

This year a total of 13 countries are participating in the show while 30 national and 17 foreign universities, totaling 47 universities are part of IIUPE. 201 photographers, university students battled in this mega event of photography with 728 entries. Out of all the entries submitted, 502 photographs were exhibited. In all 35 awards have been given out to the deserving candidates in eight categories. The entries were categorized into Color and Black & white, with 8 subcategories of Landscape, Portrait, Lifestyle, Architecture, Action, Still Life and Nature.
