The Dreamers

The Bangladesh team's cheering section has plenty of reason to celebrate. They started off with 200/1 odds and proved themselves to be one of the most exciting and entertaining teams- even for non-supporters. But here in Bangladesh, most of us tend to be dreamers, and dreamers are not very good at keeping their mind on the money. Nevertheless, this is the way we are, and it makes our support all the more passionate because of it.

Our cover story this week is also on a dreamer. Binapani Sarkar had firm socialist ideals in her youth. In her long life not many of her dreams have come into fruition, nor has she been financially solvent despite her hardworking disposition. She no longer has the physical strength to be active enough to work towards the things she wants, but she still holds on to those things that still give her life meaning- memories, and yes, dreams.
