starts its journey at AIUB

THE Department of Economics under the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) of AIUB has added a new feature to its academic curriculum by launching the BSS in Economics programme starting from Spring Semester 2009- 2010. AIUB's Economics Department has been successfully operating BBA Major in Economics and MBA Major in Business Economics. A comprehensive knowledge of economics provides the students and professionals the opportunity to gain insights in analyzing the current business and economic scenario with emphasis on global poverty, hunger, illiteracy, unemployment, trade-imbalance, recession etc. BBA or MBA graduate with a major in economics may often fall short of the deeper understanding in such issues while a pure economics graduate has the capability and ample know-how of addressing these issues.

Professor. Tazul Islam, the Department Head as well as the Associate Dean of FASS, leads the team of national and international renowned faculty members who are all set to make the BSS in Economics a successful journey.
