Hong Kong University students visit ULAB

A group of twenty students from the Hong Kong Baptist University led by its External Vice President Candice Wong Kin Yan visited University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) campus on January 4, 2010. The team is on a field visit to Bangladesh and acquitting themselves about the food security issues and challenges of Bangladesh. Professor Abdul Mannan of the School of Business received them at the University premises. The students interacted with the students of ULAB and later were accorded a reception presided over by the Vice-chancellor of the University Professor Rafiqul Islam. Yan explained their purpose of visit to Bangladesh while Professor Mamu ur Rashid of the Department of Sustainable Development talked about the success stories of Bangladesh since its independence. Khairul Anam a student of the Department of Business Administration briefly introduced the university to the visitors. Professor Mannan moderated the programme and Duncan Chowdhury, the Secretary of YMCA, Bangladesh thanked ULAB for hosting the guests.
