Celebrating 12 years of Management Net

MANAGEMENT Net, a Forum of former students of the Department of Management Studies, University of Dhaka, has crossed twelve years of its existence. On this most coveted day we look back to cherish the sweet memories of those days which imbibed us.

The cordial relationship among the Management Net members has led them all the way to come to this day.

Like those past years Management Net has passed this year also through quite a number of humane activities like voluntary blood donation, distribution of winter wears, distribution of food among the distressed etc. And we feel elated to see the exuberant spirit to serve among the members on this occasion of get-together.

Child-Juvenile Cultural Competition '09
In continuation of year-long celebration of the completion of 12 years, a cultural competition of the next generation (wards) of the Management Net members was held on December 11, '09, Friday at Business Studies Faculty Auditorium of Dhaka University. This attractive programme was undertaken for the first time to extend among our children the cordial relation we the members rear among ourselves. Divided in three groups the competition was held on painting, poetry recitation, impromptu speech and essay writing.

Voluntary blood donation programme '09
Voluntary blood donation programme '09 is one of the activities of Management Net that have attracted public attention to it. Management Net has been undertaking voluntary blood donation programme since its inception with a view to standing beside the distressed masses. In continuation of the programme Management Net organised voluntary blood donation on 21 February '09, the Language Martyrs Day and 14 April '09, the Bengali New Year's Day where more than 200 donors volunteered to participate.

The successful response of these two programmes inspired us to hold another on the 16 December, the Great Victory Day. In these voluntary blood donation programmes held opposite Raju Sculpture near TSC at Suhrawardy Uddyan gate, Sandhani Dhaka Medical College Unit and Dhaka Dental College Unit provided us allout cooperation. Bangladesh Red Crescent Society extended help for the Victory Day programme. Our gratitude and cordial thanks to them.

Re-Union '09
Management Net, an organisation formed by the students of Dhaka University Management Studies Department has been able to complete 12 years of its journey through many ups and downs. To mark the occasion a re union was held on Friday, December 18, 2009 at TSC of Dhaka University.

Besides cordial get-together of members, the day was celebrated through sport events free discussions, reminiscences, lunch and tea party, juvenile painting exhibition, prize distribution, raffle draw and enchanting cultural function from morning till evening.
