Project D-Youth

Put your heads 2gether!" Teams battle against each other getting into phase 2, through tough challenges and nerve-numbing Up-close interviews with the judges this week. According to the organizers, this phase is important because it ties in business with community service. They believe it is critical to give back to the community and this should be something that the youth take part in. so working on their task on fund raising and creating Acid awareness for ASF is bringing about new dimensions to their ideas through facing and solving each challenge.

Different teams going for different themes such as raising harity through photo exhibitions, human chain, concerts, movie shows or simply various boxes in outlets like Agora, Words n Pages etc, are striving to get the most feedbacks from the public. Evaluation of the teams will be carried out taking the Ideas and efficiency of the team into highest priority, rather than the amount of money raised. Hence the teams continue to brainstorm to come up with the most innovative ones.

For this week's challenge, the goal is to create maximum acid awareness among people. The teams have approached Radio Today and The Daily Jugantor (Newspaper) to carry out the challenge, in the meantime, gaining huge response. One of the teams called " Maas" approached the garments sector to encourage them to recruit Acid victims under a separate quota. Even though it is very challenging to get the authorities to consider it, for the process will consume a lot of money and time, what matters is the noble mission and the young minds behind it working to strike a difference. "We are learning and coming across brand new notions through this competition. We are getting to know how to cope with the worst situations and work as a team through these challenges." Says Moin, " Maas" team captain, "There were times when we did not get any response from the renowned companies we targeted, whereas the small and new ones showed a good deal of zest".

Next week, the teams will continue to speculate new areas, as the challenges are put forward. They will be briefed on The Brand ad for Djuice, and be asked to come up with more creative ones. They will be assisted by the Bitopi Ad agency. In the end of the challenge the ad designed by the wining team will be published in the press.

Teams that survive elimination each week will surge ahead as they go through new challenges.

"Project D Youth' motivates us to think more about society, unity and patriotism. The competition provides us the opportunity to show and enhance creative thinking, logic building, and team work. After making the proposal now we do believe that we have the capacity to participate in country's development."
-Adnan from Voyage.

"The matter with this project is that it will help you to judge your creativity along with study. Here it is all about proving yourself".
--Mir Ashif Newaj

"It's unfortunate that community service is widely forgotten in our country as class disparity continues to broaden. This is the foremost goal of Project D Youth. We want to unite the youth of Bangladesh to pave the way for a better future."
--Alsan.
