In search of ‘water’!

Insia Ishtiaq Juhi

The first day of each semester is usually full of fun for all of us due to the sole reason: re-union of friends after a long vacation. But all of a sudden we realised in the last semester that the reason behind this fun and excitement was not the same for our male counterparts!

The story of this realisation was a queer one. One fine morning we, the group of seven (our friends consist of 3 girls & 4 boys), were supposed to gather in front of the Dahlia's Cafe in Banani (just beside our Campus-1 road) an hour before the class time. As usual, we girls arrived within a time difference of 5 to 10 minutes; but to our massive disappointment we found the guys not turning up at all.

The question-of-the-moment was: where were they? While we were busy brainstorming on the issue, one guy neatly appeared in the scene. As we were about to ask him, his cell phone rang, and in a colossal hurry he rushed away shouting “I'll be right back!” Visibly surprised, we asked him the reason behind his coming-and-leaving, and his reply was “feeling thirsty, need to have water” kind of a dialogue. We were wondering, how a person could feel thirsty right after attending a call; who was totally normal just a minute before!!!

Putting on our 007 dark glasses we went out to follow him.... and finally got the KHUFIA (secret) of water...... The place was none other than the roaming place between the Kathal Tola and the Cafeteria, the “water” was the bunch of fresher girls!!

Take a Break
An angel appears at a faculty meeting and tells the dean that in return for his unselfish and exemplary behavior, the Lord will reward him with his choice of infinite wealth, wisdom, or beauty. Without hesitating, the dean selects infinite wisdom.
"Done!" says the angel, and disappears in a cloud of smoke and a bolt of lightning.
Now, all heads turn toward the dean, who sits surrounded by a faint halo of light. At length, one of his colleagues whispers, "Say something.”
The dean sighs and says, "I should have taken the money.”
