December 31, 2006       Star City Glaring Example of Mismanagement Karwan Bazar main road where some of the most prestigious business houses are located is a glaring example of mismanagement by the authorities. More than half of this main thoroughfare is either occupied by haphazardly parked vehicles of all sizes or makeshift shops and DCC's garbage containers. Karwan Bazar, an important commercial area of the city is now devoid of any parking facility. Thanks to wishful thinking of the DCC and its leaders the designated parking space of Karwan Bazar has been turned in to a market place. Every day office goers arrive in Karwan Bazar to be caught in a perennial traffic jam caused by unruly road users and vendors. . PHOTO: STAR
