Silly Tales

The Axe Effect

What people should know before reading the rest of this is that I am VERY terrified of cats. So, one day when I was in school my friend had invited me over to his place for a get together. Since AXE was a very 'in' thing then, I had a lot of them and decided to make a 'mixture' and I went all out. Expecting to grab some attention with my 'axe'd fragrance, I went to my friend's place and while my hopes were high to have someone tell me I smell nice, I ended up attracting something I hadn't thought of. Their cat ended up being obsessed with me and my smell. It was so embarrassing knowing that I had put in all that effort to smell nice to get attention…from a cat!

Watery mischief

When we were in class nine, class tests happened to be the regular bothering aspect of our lives. We were from the Humanities section, which was a very small batch comprising of only 22 students. So during the exams the invigilator could get a clear view of each and every one of us. But that didn't stop us from trying out new ways of communicating with each other during exams. Moreover, there was a History teacher, who always scattered us all over the class during exams and those who were the naughtiest were made to sit in the front row. So, on a day where we had an exam we poured water in the front bench before the exam so that none of us could sit there and we were lucky enough that the teacher came in 10 minutes late. So she didn't have the time to call up the maid and clean it. Thus we succeeded in our evil intentions and sat at the back as we wanted!

Awkward Injury

I remember when I was in my 8th grade, playing soccer with those tiny little tennis balls was the only thing for which I used to go to school apart from studying. We used to play these little tennis soccer games everyday before our class started and would look forward to playing it again afterwards too. It was so addictive that we didn't really care about our sweaty shirts and bad odour throughout the entire time. This one day, while doing the obvious, I got hit with the ball in my so-called "main-point" and the pain was excruciating. I almost passed out for a split second. My friends didn't call the supervisors out of fear of getting punished. Instead they called our school guard and asked him to take me to the hospital. The guard helped me stand up and walked me through to the main gate and while doing so he said that apparently the doctors would have to inject a big needle where I got hurt. All of a sudden, I could feel no pain and I was just fine. So, I went back to playing again but this time I chose to be a striker instead of a defender to lower the chances of the dreaded injury again!
