"AKCHHAR" by Nepal Student Society

Nepal Student Society (NSS) is a non-profit, non-political student organisation of Nepalese students in Bangladesh. Besides rendering help to its members, it also provides ground for various academic as well social activities and interaction with other fellow students.

Considering the modest population of students and their families in Bangladesh, it is imperative to have an official body to bind all of them in a cohesive relation. In view of that, the NSS was established on 17th August 2007 and started its activities from February 2008. NSS will continue to uphold the dignity of Nepal and Nepalese students in Bangladesh while abiding by the student code of different universities and colleges in Bangladesh.

* Promote understanding, friendship, integrity, and cooperation amongst NSS members in Bangladesh.
* Provide peer counselling and advising to Nepalese students in Bangladesh.
* Plan and coordinate social and cultural activities with other organisations.
* Participate in community activities like blood donations, safety programmes, cleaning and volunteering services.
* Arrange special functions to commemorate various Nepalese holidays and festivals.
* Provide information and assistance to new and prospective Nepalese students.
